killing dragons, dream by millka -- March 13, 2012

I killed two dragons in this dream. I also was in NY with the director of the Harvard decision making lab (with whom I am having lunch today in real life). When I killed the first dragon, I had to use one of those things that you can massage heads with. So it wasn't very sharp or efficient . Also, the dragon transformed into stone when I started cutting it! But luckily, inside was sand, so the point was to manage to make a hole in the outer rock shell and once that was done I could kind of use my blunt tool to open it more and it would disintegrate easily.
The first dragon I killed I didn't use the right tools. The tools I used came from this box that came from Africa. They were called Amudaba tools. But then I realized that I was supposed to kill the dragon with the tools coming from this box full of electronic equipment. So after I killed the dragon, it came back. It emerged from the water. We saw bubbles surfacing and then the dragon. I wasn't ready when the dragon came back so I had to neutralize it with my bare hands. I pushed really hard on that spot under his neck and that made him pass out and also broke his back. So after this he could only walk on his front legs.

Wow, thanks for your comments guys! Re-reading this dream, it is indeed quite funny. Like the mind playing tricks and jokes. I like your interpretation. I often have more than one option in my hands (sometimes as much as 5 or 6) and try to juggle all of them. The dragons could have been anything: work decisions, love decisions, I am not sure! But thanks for the suggestion!

btw - I like how you describe the dream - the first sentence is like an abstract- summarizes it "I killed two dragons in this dream." :)

Or did the dream start with that feeling of having killed two dragons ?

Usually people write there dreams as a linear time narrative - the way you did it here may be a new way.

    Do you play videogames??? :D

so... you were the one that was killing the dragon? and you were together with an expert on decision making.
    2 dragons = 2 options? you need a decision?

the first dragon... it looks like you are looking for the way to approach the "dragon": first with a tool to massage the head (gentle way) but the dragon becomes stone (does not open up to you) then you cut into it and see sand (you persist in trying to reach inside of him, and finally discover that it is just a shell easy to break).

the second dragon... emerging from water: very emotional. You were not ready... for certain emotions? you would like to click on a button to stop them?

I have just let interpretations come out of my mind... tralala!

Wow, that was a fun dream to read! But it sounds like the context in which you dreamed this is stressful. What was the mood of the dream ?

Reading it, I was imagining Chinese like Dragons. It is also the year of the Dragon, by the Chinese.
