The deadly ray, dream by mikele -- Jan. 9, 2012

I am at some big university campus, in a strange city. Family and friends are there. We have an apartment, it is big and rather nice. I am a kid there. I am taking courses, there are many tables and classrooms, but feel rather lonely. I have tasks to complete, and my mother, for some reason, is very angry at me. I leave to get what she asked me to. I have to go far away, I am on a trekking path, where tourists go. Walking along some crest, the rock is mainly consolidated gray sand, and is not very solid. I reach a narrow area, and the path becomes dangerous. There isn't much room: on the left that wall of breaking dark gray sand, on the right emptiness. I wonder how a path for tourists can be so dangerous, but I see many foot steps in the sand, as if people go through without trouble. I wonder why it is difficult for me. Now I reach a place that is even more dangerous: I actually have to climb, choosing between going either up or down. It seems there is some kind of useful structure, in green: not clear if it is a green kind of ladder made in plastic or if it is more consolidated sand. I am happy to see something helpful, though. I try going up and put my foot in the first step - just going ahead, saying to myself: "well if I just do it without thinking too much it may work". However, as I pull myself up, the structure turns out to be too brittle, so I decide to go down. This also turns out to be dangerous and the green sand ladder is breaking. I fall, but there is some black closet, made out of cheap wood that I can catch onto and reach the ground awkwardly but safely. I am a little surprised that falling down was not that dangerous after all. I then walk back to the strange city, it seems also to be somewhere between day in night, as on some space planet of a cartoon where the sky is black, instead of blue, the light dim, but colors are vivid.

I reach the city and continue walking, feeling a bit alienated. It is getting late, I am not supposed to be outside anymore. This is the time when the great heat laser turns on, and everybody should go back in. I manage to run and hide in some corner of some street, when then the phenomena / great machine starts sending its rays and heat. Somehow, I survive, difficultly, I am burned, and got very tanned. I am not recognizable anymore. As I go back to our home/university, people don't recognize me, but accept what I have to say and what I brought (not sure what it was). I start to feel more comfortable. Eventually, someone recognizes me, because of a particular gesture of mine: the way I put my hands to my head, making an angle of my hair that goes down both sides. So people recognized me, and were surprised that I was actually here and alive.
