If you were in my apartment today, you would dream about a world war :)

One thing I realised, after discussion with tangerinedoc, is that the war refers to my appartment getting messier: just cleaned it and that felt pretty good :)

Sab: thanks for your comments and questions ! The dream indeed appears to have multiple parts, and I am actually not even sure whether this was only one dream or several separate dreams that were all merged into one memory as I woke up. May be the third part was indeed a different dream.

On the first part: it seems the dream combines several important aspects of my current daily life (Freudian "condensation"): some stress at work with Chinese colleagues and the flying lessons, as we often fly around Half Moon Bay and along the Pacific coast which is particularly beautiful. The thing I still can't really make sense of is what is the meaning of the contradiction: there is a major attack, but I am not really bothered by it.

The trip across China reflects several waking life aspects as well: I really want to do another long motorcycle trip :) It also tells me to be patient, a quality I lack sometimes ... The dream may be telling me in particular to be patient with the flying course, through the reference to the "instructor", which would be my flying instructor.

On the end of the third part: it seems the choice I made to stay, and not go with the girl, was the easier way, and I do regret it. It feels like a weak and easy choice made to satisfy some people, but not true to myself. I regret this choice because she is hurt, and also because it would have been a nice and new path for me, which also seemed scary. So ... this also feels like a message. If I had kissed her, nothing bad with respect to the public and A (who is a male friend/colleague) would have happened, and great stuff for her and me, although not sure what. So, I got to think why I did this bad choice in the dream.

On the question of dichotomy: I don't feel I have a significant and specific choice to make between different alternatives right now, but, I will think about that more !

To answer the first question, whether
"we [can] assume that the 2 main objects of your dream are China and the pretty girl": it would seem there are a whole number of different objects, all merged into these three short narratives and their different objects, like dreams often do.

tangerinedoc: thanks for the question! The wise man was in connection to the motorcycle trip, it is my friend who did the trip combined with his instructor. There sometime is wise motorcycle rider who appears in my dreams ~ an old rider with vast experience in life, who comes on his bike to tell me some truths and help out :) do you have such characters ?

Thank for sharing your dream. Well , my first impulse was to organize your dream into three different parts.But lately I figured out that these parts might all be connected.
Can we assume that the 2 main objects of your dream are China and the pretty girl ?
If we assume they are, can you actually see the dychotomy ?
Like these 2 main objects appear to be both repulsif and very attractive .
Thus China is seen as a threat at first, attacking but" not too scary" and then, it's becoming a temptation with the motorbike"impressive " trip.
Same with the girl, she's definitaly a temptation but she's also a threat ( a threat against your relationship with A, the public and your own image).
The end is very interresting because you're making a choice: you let the girl go away, giving up beacuse of a few legitimate concerns.
Would you see this choice as reasonable and rational, rather than impulsiv ? How do you see the fact that you're sitting in the middle between A and the woman ? How do you feel seeing her hurted ? do you have regrets ?
Are you facing the same kind of conflict , dychotomy, in your waking life ? i mean Are you tempted by a specific travel, destination or even a person that you just feel like you want to discover but your reason tells you not to do ?
Finally, imagine in your dream you have chosen to kiss the woman in the theater despite A and despite the public , what do you think would have happenned ?
