    Ice Dance and Funky Roller Coaster Ride, dream by wombknower -- Sept. 13, 2013

    1. Ice skating with E

    I am in a salsa club and restaurant with a law school colleague, E. He and I are doing a paired ice dance routine in the dining area on the iced floor. We are completely in tandem and I love skating with him. People are watching us in awe and clapping. Salsa on ice? Cool! Then something happens, I bump into him and inadvertently hurt him. He pauses to assess the injury. The performance is over.

    2. Jamaican food in the roller coaster

    I find myself at Canada's Wonderland, about to get on the roller coaster ride that goes through the mountain. I go through the track once and it is very dark in there. As the roller coaster goes around a corner, I see fake monsters and hear scary noises. The ride ends. I decide to go around it a second time. The beginning of the ride is lit and not scary. I am thinking about the fact that I took myself to Canada's Wonderland to give my inner child a treat. Now, the ride turns the bend again and I am waiting for the monsters but they are not there anymore. Instead, on my left is a middle-aged Black man selling Jamaican food. I buy three containers of it from him and when I get off the ride, I find a place to eat it. I can't eat it all, and I have a lot of white rice left over. Is there a fridge at Canada's wonderland that I can put the food in so that I can finish it later? Nope. To my left I see a large fridge filled with bottles of wine. I can't put it there. There are blocks of ice beside the wine to keep it cold. I assume that if I ask to use those blocks of ice, I will be denied. I don't ask. Then, I wonder if the man has containers that I can use.

    Hi, wombknower, what beautiful imagery and feelings in these dreams. Is that thing that you put on ice keeping you from your inner child? It is interesting that when you acknowledged her in your dream the monsters disappeared.And then you feed her, a lot. When you try to save the food for later, you find the ice is already in use keeping the wine cool. What is the significance of wine for you? If it were my dream I might also want to unpack the notion of Canada's wonderland. The first time you go round it is scary with fake monsters. The next time you create a different warmer, safer place. A Black man is providing you with nourishment.

    Dream 1: what's the feeling when you bump into your ice skating partner? The performance being over prematurely?
    Dream 2: what's the feeling of not having a place to store your food? Of possibly being denied?
    If it were my dream, I'd look at the ice in both dreams..
    -is there something that has been put on ice/hold that is beyond my control?
    -something that needs revisiting that I've put on ice or on hold, and that I have to find a place and time to get back to it?
    -something that needs to be put on ice but that I want to keep or contain?
