Assisting at the Japanese Royal Wedding, dream by mikele -- Dec. 10, 2011

We are at a Japanese wedding, there is the celebration of a mariage between two noble families.  It is an important union, it seems it will help peace.  The ceremony required putting one next to the other two fine clothes with an elegant fold at each corner. One fold was done on the red cloth representing the woman's family, and I had to do the fold for the other piece of cloth, grayish.  I looked at the fold that was done, it looked simple but was very elegant, and I didn't know how to reproduce it on the other piece of cloth.

I was sitting in seisa and facing the royal family but they were not so close so I couldn't distinguish their faces properly. I could recognize though the young princess. An old lady then came and did the elegant tie, she did it very naturally, without an ounce of complaint that I didn't do it. I appreciated this act of politeness, but I was not sure whether it was really ok or not that I didn't do it myself.  She did something different than the first fold on the red cloth: she tied both clothes together, also in an elegant manner and it turned out the knot reveled a number colors where the tie was,, vertical lines of yellow, green blue and white.
