Wooden castle, dream by mikele -- Aug. 10, 2012
It is night. We go to some kind of amusement park at night, with Dan and some of his friends. Somehow, I miss a train to get there, but they were kind and waited for me. We arrived at the park, and went around having fun. It is like an amusement park built in a wooden castle, with different rooms and theme based areas. We do some rides that involve going through large colored plastic tubes. I have white roller skates, and am both ridiculous as well as doing sophisticated tricks going backwards and jumping, it feels good doing these things. One of the "houses" in the castle is called Luna Park. I want to go back there. I can see signs to it on wooden arrows, but cannot find Luna Park. Then I realize I don't know where my shoes are. I have to find them but it is getting late, the park is going to close. People working for the park let me look for them, and I go around searching, watching them closing things down. It seems there will be no more transportation back, it is so late. I tell my friends to go, I'll figure it out.

Associations: Colors theme, which comes out regularly in my dreams: may be connects to an early childhood experience: I had seen some colored plastic airplanes that could be propelled and really wanted them.
Also a sign of ignoring potential problems: missing last train, being left alone due to one's own actions.
Additional info: General feel of excitement, anticipating some important, unexpected, surprising event. There was a feeling of being able to deal with stress: I was fully aware of the issue of missing the train, but wasn't too concerned about it, expecting whatever had to come anyway to come. That may reflect some aspects of my current attitude.

Context: Went to the Gran Dell Saloon blues jam with Dan. Played there for a few songs, not really sure how good or bad it was. Apparently sound was too low. But had a very good time.
I missed a train at some point in the long ride from Oakland to Suynnyvale: went in the wrong direction. Info from google maps was confusing and inaccurate, but figured it out and meet up with Dan went well.
There are some urgent matters that have to be dealt with that I have inexplicably been putting off.
